Naturally a Naturalist

What is it? What does it do? Where does it live? These were the basic questions I asked myself as a young boy after discovering a new thing to play with such as a frog, or a snake, or a skink. As a kid, nature was all mine to explore and being outdoors exploring was the natural thing for me to do. And now, as an adult, the child in me still begins each day with a sense of wonder and exploration. I invite you to join me in my exploration of our natural world, discussing ideas and sharing observations.

As a Gaia ecologist, it is the attempt to observe Earth's processes beyond anthropocentric values formulated for the sole benefit for humans. Gaia ecology, as a science of Earth's functions, does not possess any protocols for equal distribution of its natural resources. More importantly, it must be recognized that there is no guarantee for survivability of any living organism on this planet and the human species possess no ecological superiority on this planet. On a daily scale, Nature will continue to unfold regardless of human perception for beauty, smell, sounds and taste. I trek humbly in Gaia's garden.
